Your information
Privacy policy.
Who we are
Give It A Wrap is responsible for the personal information we receive when you enquire about our kitchen, door and other wrapping services. This policy covers our website, Facebook and Instagram lead forms, and conversations about your enquiry.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@giveitawrap.co.uk or call 07508 934335.
Information you provide
We collect the details you submit, such as your name, email address, telephone number, property postcode, the work you are interested in and your preferred timeframe. Website enquiries may also include your preferred finish, a project description and optional photographs. We keep relevant correspondence and notes needed to follow up your request.
On Facebook or Instagram, Meta may prefill contact details from your profile. Please check them before submitting. We receive the answers you submit through the form. Photos should not include people, personal documents or other information that is unnecessary for assessing the work.
How and why we use your details
We use your information to assess suitability and our service area, contact you by phone or email, discuss your project, arrange a quote and manage any work you ask us to carry out. If you contact us through WhatsApp or another messaging service, we may reply through that service.
For the steps you request before booking and for delivering agreed work, our lawful basis is taking steps towards, or performing, a contract. For managing enquiries, keeping relevant business records and reviewing the effectiveness of our advertising, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving our service. We also retain information where necessary to meet legal obligations.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to an unrelated marketing mailing list. You can tell us that you no longer want sales follow-up about your enquiry. Where we separately ask for consent for another use, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who can access your information
Your information is available to the people handling your enquiry and providing our services. Website enquiries are stored in our business website records and sent to Give It A Wrap and our website support provider, ECCO Creative, so they can be received and managed. Providers of website hosting, data storage and email delivery also process information needed to operate these services.
Facebook and Instagram enquiries are also held in Meta's lead-management tools, accessible to people authorised to manage our leads. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.
Meta and other service providers may process information outside the UK. The protections that apply depend on the provider and destination, including applicable adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards where required. Contact us if you would like information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry. Meta's own handling of data on its platforms is described in its Privacy Policy.
Advertising cookies and your choice
If you choose “Accept marketing”, we load the Meta Pixel to measure website visits and successfully submitted quote requests and to help improve our Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta may receive information such as the page visited, browser and device information, cookie identifiers and the fact that a quote request was completed. Our tracking code does not send your name, email address, phone number, postcode, project description or photographs to Meta.
Marketing tracking is optional and stays off until you accept it. Select “Essential only” to browse and enquire without Meta tracking. You can change or withdraw your choice through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing stops future marketing events from this website and removes the Meta cookies accessible to our site; it does not undo information already sent. We store your cookie preference in your browser so we can remember it. Meta's handling of data is explained in its Privacy Policy.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond, provide a quote and complete relevant follow-up. If you become a customer, we retain records needed to manage the work, aftercare, accounting requirements and any legal claims. The period depends on whether the enquiry proceeds, the services provided and applicable record-keeping requirements. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access your information, correct inaccurate details or request deletion. Depending on the circumstances, you can also ask us to restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or provide information in a portable format. These rights may have exceptions, for example where records must be kept by law. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
Use the contact details above to make a request or stop follow-up. Required form fields help us assess and respond to your enquiry; without them we may be unable to provide a quote. Photographs are optional. We do not use your enquiry details to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our handling of personal information changes.
